Typically non toxic candle makers tend to be made in small batches that are hand-poured or smaller manufacturing studios. ![]() I like to look for candles that have been scented with pure essential oils (such as vanilla, lavender, bergamot, lemon, grapefruit, sandalwood etc.) that are sustainably sourced and eco-friendly. Natural scents – Synthetic fragrance is a broad umbrella.Look for a 100% unbleached cotton wick, hemp wicks or wooden wicks so you can enjoy a clean burning candle Wick – As you know, you’ll want to avoid a wick with metal in it.Remember *soy wax blend* etc.are generally mixed with paraffin wax! Be sure to make sure labels say the candles are 100% soy or beeswax (companies like to create blends with paraffin wax because it’s cheaper) and if possible, I like to buy sustainably sourced and cruelty-free candles! Note: beeswax candles technically are not vegan but soy wax and coconut wax candles are. ![]()
